Rhyma closed testing is now live on Android
An archived update from Rhyma's Android closed test, which helped shape the public Google Play release.

Update (August 26, 2026): The closed test has ended. Rhyma is now available to everyone on Android. You can download the public release from Google Play. The article below is kept as a record of that test.
Rhyma is out of our workshop for the first time: closed testing is now live on Android.
This is not the public Google Play launch. It is a smaller, earlier build for people who do not mind unfinished things and will tell us where the app sings and where it trips over its own shoelaces. If that sounds like your kind of adventure, we would love to have you in the test.
A poem you cannot write alone
Rhyma is collaborative poetry with a little creative mischief built in. You see only the previous line, get roughly three minutes, and add the next one. Then the poem travels to another person. Nobody controls the whole thing, and nobody knows exactly where it is going.
When the final line lands, the complete poem opens for everyone who helped write it. Some rhyme. Most drift somewhere nobody planned and end up as glorious nonsense, which is more or less what we were hoping for.
Every line in Rhyma is written by a person. No bots compose verses, and no language model finishes the poem for you.
What you can test
The Android closed beta includes the whole Rhyma loop. You can:
- sign in with Google and complete your profile;
- pick up an active poem and add a line before the timer expires;
- start a new poem with 4, 8, 12, or 16 lines;
- discover completed poems and see who created each twist;
- react, comment, reply, and share a finished poem;
- explore poem journeys, profile stats, and collectible rewards;
- receive updates when poems and conversations move forward.
This is a closed beta, so expect rough edges: an unclear screen, a late notification, a layout that misbehaves on one particular Android device. Finding those now is why the test exists.
The test has ended
The tester list and invitation flow described in the original update are no longer needed. You can download the public Android release directly from Google Play.
Thank you for testing it. Rhyma started as a private idea and it is now something strangers use to write together. Feedback is still welcome through our feedback form.
