Rhyma is now live on Google Play

The doors are properly open: Rhyma is now available to everyone on Android through Google Play.

We have spent a long time on this strange little poetry game and it is finally out. If you have an Android phone, you can download Rhyma today and put your first line into a poem that will finish somewhere else.

A poem nobody writes alone

Rhyma is a collaborative poetry game made entirely from human lines. You receive a poem in progress, but almost all of it stays hidden. You see only the line before yours and get about three minutes to add what comes next.

Then the poem moves to another person. And another. Nobody knows the whole thing until the final line lands and the complete poem opens for everyone who helped write it.

Sometimes it rhymes. More often it wanders off into glorious nonsense, and that is usually the better outcome.

What is waiting inside

The public Android release includes the whole game:

• add a line to poems travelling between people around the world;
• start your own poem in one of several supported languages;
• reveal completed poems and see the writers behind every line;
• follow each poem’s journey across cities and countries;
• react, comment, collect reward pins, and build your writing streak.

Every poem is written by people. Rhyma does not use AI to generate lines for you.

Thanks to the testers

Rhyma went through a closed Android test before this. The people in it found the rough edges and told us which screens made no sense, and the release is steadier because of it. Thank you.

iPhone is next

We are already working on Rhyma for iOS. If you use an iPhone, join the App Store early-access list on the homepage and we will email you when it is ready.

For now, Android poets can download Rhyma free from Google Play. Write one line, let strangers finish the poem, and see what comes back.
